Brazil's Dilma Rousseff faces impeachment process

Brazil's lower house of Congress has officially opened impeachment proceedings against President Dilma Rousseff.

The move is based on allegations she broke the law managing the country's budget in 2014.

Ms Rousseff denied committing "any wrongful act" but her popularity has slumped amid a corruption scandal involving the state-owned oil giant, Petrobras.

Julia Carneiro reports from Rio de Janeiro.
