Brazilian police fire tear gas at Bolsonaro supporters

Thousands of supporters of the former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro have stormed the country's Congress, Supreme Court and presidential palace.

Police have responded with tear gas in an attempt to repel the protesters.

The demonstrators deny October's election results, in which the far-right ex-president lost to left-wing veteran Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
