Egypt's Vice-President urges political dialogue

Egypt's Vice-President, Omar Suleiman, has said there will be an immediate investigation into the deadly clashes between supporters and opponents of President Mubarak in central Cairo.

Mr Suleiman added that those responsible would be held accountable and that "all political forces" have been urged to join in a "dialogue".

Earlier, Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq made an unprecedented apology on television over the violent clashes.
