Hundreds of runners take part in Gaza marathon
Hundreds of runners are taking part in the first ever Gaza marathon on Thursday.
The athletes will run the entire length of the tiny Palestinian territory equalling 26 miles or 42 kilometres. They will end their run in Rafah near the Egyptian border.
Gemma Connell, a United Nations representative said the event was organised to help raise funds for summer games for the children in the region.
