Amateur video of Syria candle-lit rallies

Protesters in Syria have called for a "day of defiance" with demonstrations throughout the country after Friday prayers.

Amateur video posted on the internet on Thursday showed people thought to be in the towns of Nimr and Amuda gathering by candlelight.

Candles on the ground spelled out "leave" in Arabic while the crowd chanted, "leave us, leave us, we don't like you".
