Syrian state TV reports 'gatherings'

At least three people have been killed in Syria after thousands of people took part in demonstrations, human rights activists say.

The casualties were reported in the country's third city, Homs, where at least one demonstrator was shot in the head when security forces opened fire.

Amateur footage has emerged of various demonstrations as Syrian state television broadcast news of "gatherings".
