Yemen unrest: Defiance on the streets of Sanaa

President Ali Abdullah Saleh has been slightly injured in an attack on his compound in Sanaa and is in hospital, officials have said.

The incident came as thousands of anti-government protesters gathered on the streets of the streets of the capital.

Meanwhile, pitched battles have continued between government forces and armed tribesmen in parts of the city.
