In hiding with anti-government protesters in Syria
It has been another day of violence and protests in Syria, despite the promise made by President Assad on Monday, to instigate wide-ranging reforms.
As state television claimed that millions were on the streets supporting the president, there were reports of clashes and loss of life in several cities.
Syria has banned most foreign journalists during the crackdown of the past three months but Newsnight's Sue Lloyd Roberts has managed to spend a week undercover meeting activists in the capital Damascus.
