Two US citizens accused of spying in Iran await verdict
The trial has ended in Tehran of two American men accused of spying. It is exactly two years since the men, Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal, were arrested.
The pair said they had crossed the Iranian border by mistake while hiking in neighbouring Iraq. Their female companion Sarah Shourd flew home to the United States last year after the Iranians freed her on bail.
Arabic language Al-Alam television quoted an Iranian judicial spokesman as saying the verdicts on the two men would be announced in the coming days.
