Syria protest deaths 'hit 3,000' people, says UN

The United Nations has said that 3,000 people have been killed in Syria in the seven months of protests against the rule of President Bashar al-Assad.

The UN has also claimed that the situation in Syria may turn into a full-blown civil war.

The warning comes as activists reported the death of at least six protesters in demonstrations following Friday prayers.
