Hillary Clinton: US developing technology to stop jamming in Iran

US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, said America was doing everything it could to provide technology to ensure people in Iran had access to the internet.

She said it was a high priority for people to use the web as it enabled freedom of speech.

Mrs Clinton said the regime in Iran imposed ''what amounts to an electronic curtain, the 21st Century equivalent of barbed wire and fences and the dogs that the old Soviet Union used''.
