Video 'shows Syrian security forces beating opponents'

The UN says more than 3,500 people have died since protests in Syria began in March.

The Syrian authorities blame the violence on armed gangs and militants.

Unverified pictures have emerged which appear to show members of the security forces beating opposition supporters.
