Iraq's deputy PM on what lies ahead for his country

The US military has formally ended its combat operations in Iraq, nearly nine years after first entering the country.

Speaking to the BBC's World Affairs Correspondent John Simpson, the Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq, Hussain al-Shahristani said people now feel more secure in their normal daily lives.

He also said there has been an improvement in the standard of living and that although serious mistakes have been committed, people now feel more confident in their future.
