UN makes amnesty plea to Yemen over war crimes

The UN's human rights chief, Navi Pillay, has warned Yemen not to grant amnesty to those who have committed war crimes, as part of a deal for President Ali Abdullah Saleh to step down.

An amnesty law is due to go to parliament in Yemen soon but protesters, worried that President Saleh may be shying away from the deal, have again been out on the streets of the capital Sanaa in large numbers.
