Egypt football riot: Tension in Cairo as protests loom

Egypt has begun three days of mourning after football violence which left at least 74 people dead and hundreds more injured.

Clashes erupted after fans of the home side al-Masry invaded the pitch to celebrate their victory over Cairo-based Al-Ahly.

Angry fans sealed off Tahrir Square in the centre of Cairo on Thursday morning, claiming police did not do enough to stop the violence.
