Red Cross holds Syria ceasefire talks in Damascus
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is making a new push for access in Syria, hoping to be allowed into areas where fighting is continuing and to try and get the wounded out.
Jakob Kellenberger, president of the ICRC, is in Damascus, asking for a daily two-hour ceasefire to allow his teams to operate.
The international peace plan for Syria includes this ceasefire, but at the moment fighting is reportedly continuing in many places.
ICRC spokesman Saleh Dabbakeh said they were discussing practical ways of implementing the ceasefire on the ground.
