Tension in Turkey as fragile Syrian ceasefire holds
A fragile ceasefire in Syria seems to be holding more than 12 hours after it came into force, with reports suggesting there has been a marked drop in violence. But both sides have reported violations of the truce during the day.
Anti-government activists claim they have seen no sign of President Assad pulling his forces away from opposition strongholds like the city of Homs. And violence in such cities has forced many Syrian civilians into refugee camps on the Turkish/Syrian border.
