Hossein Mousavian: 'Iran is not after a nuclear weapon'

Six world powers have begun fresh talks with Iran about its controversial nuclear programme.

Five permanent members of the UN Security Council, plus Germany, want Iran to stop high-level uranium enrichment.

Meanwhile Iran, currently squeezed by international sanctions, has shown signs it may be ready for some degree of compromise.

But Iran's former nuclear negotiator Hossein Mousavian told the BBC that if the red line was zero-enrichment, the negotiations in Baghdad are bound to fail.

He added that Iran ''is not after a nuclear weapon''.
