Iran accused of using private oil sales to beat EU sanctions

The European Union imposed a new set of sanctions on Iran's crude oil exports in July this year. The 27 member states had until then accounted for about 20% of Iran's oil exports.

Iranian authorities have now given up 30 per cent of the country's oil sales to the private sector in an attempt to boost oil exports.
