The Syrian children in refugee camps

According to the latest figures from the United Nations, 1.2m people have been displaced inside Syria because of ongoing fighting - half of them children.

Nearly a quarter of a million Syrian refugees have fled to neighbouring countries.

At the Zaatari camp in Jordan, around two-thirds of refugees are under the age of 18.

Aid agencies trying to help children there say many have had first-hand experience of violence and killings.
