Premier league football launched in Afghanistan

Football fans in Afghanistan are enjoying the country's first premier league competition, with thousands of fans attending matches in Kabul.

The league comprises eight teams and ends in mid-October, with prize money of $15,000 (£9300) at stake. Players are paid $10 (£6) a day during the tournament.

Matches are also shown live on television - the country's first commercial sports venture.
