BBC find evidence of 'abuse' by Afghan police in Sangin

The BBC has uncovered evidence of abuse by the Afghan police force in the Sangin district of Helmand province.

During a tour of police bases, the Panorama programme found evidence of corruption, kidnap, drug use, murder and child abuse by Afghan officers.

In Sangin, Afghan police already operate largely alone, and the handover of power from the Americans will be complete in March.

The BBC's Ben Anderson reports, after spending five weeks following a group of US marines in Afghanistan.
