Sanctions cause economic hardship for Iranian students in the US
According to the Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian Americans, there are currently around 6000 Iranians studying in US universities.
But as economic sanctions imposed on Iran by the West have a direct impact on money transfers, many students are finding it hard to make ends meet.
Some have been reaching out to special international education charities in order to fund their studies.
