Egypt protests: Morsi supporters defy warning to end sit-ins

Supporters of ousted Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi are continuing to defy calls from the interim military government to end their sit-in protests.

The cabinet ordered police to end the protests in Cairo on Wednesday, calling them a "national security threat", but promising demonstrators "safe exit" if they left their camps quickly.

Meanwhile the US Secretary of State John Kerry, on a visit to Pakistan, has described the armed forces' removal of Mr Morsi as "restoring democracy".
