US: 'Egypt's interim government chose violence'
President Obama has cancelled a joint military exercise that was due to take place next month and the State Department has said it will review aid to Egypt "in all its forms".
The deputy spokesperson at the US State Department, told the BBC co-operation cannot continue as usual when people are being killed on the streets.
Marie Harf said the situation on the ground in Egypt was complicated and the US wanted to make decisions in the best interest of the US and which help promote values.
