Egypt clashes: 'Blood-stained stairs in a mosque'
More protesters have died in central Cairo, as rallies held by supporters of ousted Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi turned violent.
In Ramses Square, near Cairo, demonstrations were peaceful until a police station was stoned and the situation escalated quickly, with tear gas and automatic weapons fire being used from the station.
The BBC's Jeremy Bowen, who was at a mosque half a mile from Ramses Square, said he had seen at least eight corpses - a sign of just how terrible, desperate and combustible things are.
