Saudi driving ban: 'I went to the grocery shop'

The Saudi authorities have issued further warnings to women not to defy a ban on female drivers taking part in a mass driving protest.

Some 17,000 people have signed a petition calling for the ban on women driving to be repealed, with Saturday's protest the third of its kind since 1990.

Mai al Swayan spoke to the BBC about her journey to a grocery shop near her home in Riyadh, accompanied by a female journalist.
