Egyptian PM Hazem El Beblawi: I want free elections

Amid continuing unrest in Egypt, the Egyptian Prime Minister, Hazem El Beblawi, says he wants to see free elections in his country.

He was speaking as Egyptians prepare to mark the third anniversary of the 2011 uprising which saw the overthrow of President Hosni Mubarak and the rise of the Islamist group, the Muslim Brotherhood.

With a new constitution approved, questions still remain on the treatment of some groups within the country, in particular the Brotherhood which has been designated a terrorist group.

The prime minister told the BBC's Mishal Husain elections should be open to everyone - from the armed forces chief Gen Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to members of the Brotherhood - as long as they accepted the new secular constitution.
