UN envoy on Syria talks: Both sides have 'common ground'
UN Syria envoy Lakhdar Brahimi has said that the Syria peace talks in Geneva progressed slowly, but formed a basis on which the two sides could build.
Mr Brahimi told reporters: "I observed a little bit of common ground, perhaps more than the two sides themselves realise or recognise."
The opposition has agreed to take part in another round of talks scheduled for 10 February, but the government said it needs to consult with Damascus first.
