UN: Aid for Syrian city of Homs 'ready to go'

The United Nations has said that it is ready to deliver aid to the under-siege Syrian city of Homs as soon as "the green light is given for safe passage".

Speaking to reporters, Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon's spokesman, Farhan Haq, also welcomed reports of a deal to evacuate some civilians from the embattled Old City.
