'Israel responsible for deaths' - Dr Mustafa Barghouti

The murder of three Israeli teenagers was the responsibility of the State of Israel, according to Dr Mustafa Barghouti of the Palestinian National Initiative party.

Speaking to BBC Newsnight, Dr Barghouti described the deaths as "tragic", but warned that as long as the conflict continued in the region, then more people would die.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Hamas was responsible, a claim the Palestinian militant group has denied.
