Middle East crisis: Gaza UN school shelter hit, 'killing 13'

At least 13 people have been killed and more than 200 injured when a UN-run school used as a shelter in Gaza was apparently hit by a shell, officials say.

Hundreds of Palestinians were in the school in Beit Hanoun, where they were taking shelter from Israel's continuing military operation against Hamas rocket attacks.

More than 800 Palestinians and 35 Israelis have died since the Israel-Hamas conflict began on 8 July.
