Iraq: 'Heart-breaking' scramble for survival during aid drop

The US, Britain and France have been delivering humanitarian aid to the Yazidi community who have been trapped on a mountain, Mount Sinjar, by Islamic State (IS) fighters.

Taban Sami Shoresh, a British Kurd working as an aid worker in Iraq, was on a helicopter which came under attack when it was attempting to deliver supplies.

"I've never seen so many people scramble for survival...it's horrific, it's heart-breaking to see,'' she said.
