Islamic State conflict: Battle for Kobane continues

Kurdish forces, backed by US-led air strikes, are continuing to fight militants in the northern Syrian town of Kobane.

The commander of the Kurdish forces defending town claims IS militants have now been driven out of all but two areas - helped by air strikes carried out by America and its allies.
