Hezbollah minister blames foreign 'intervention' for Syrian suffering
A Lebanese Hezbollah minister has said foreign powers are to blame for the suffering of civilians in Syria.
In an interview with the BBC's Mishal Husain, Mohammed Fneish said the "intervention" of some Western and Arab states in the conflict was prolonging the fighting
Mr Fneish, whose group is a key ally of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, said the war could be over in months if foreign powers ceased backing rebels in Syria.
It is the first time the Hezbollah leadership has spoken to the international media since the Syrian crisis began in 2011.
