Egypt plans to spend $45bn building new administrative capital

Egypt's government has announced plans to build a new administrative capital to the east of Cairo.

The housing Minister said it would be take between five and seven years to build at a cost of $45bn (£30bn).

It is one of the flagship developments unveiled at an investment conference in the resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, which aims to revive the Egyptian economy.
