Yemen crisis: 'Indiscriminate' human cost of violence

The UN Security Council is meeting on Saturday to discuss a Russian proposal for a pause in the Saudi-led intervention in Yemen.

The Saudis have been helping forces loyal to President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi - who are trying to beat back an advance by Shia Houthi rebels.

Fighting has continued in the southern port of Aden - where the Saudis have air-dropped weapons to help the government forces.
