Iraqi town of Sinjar 'in full Kurdish control'

Kurdish forces have entered the strategic town of Sinjar in northern Iraq, which was taken by Islamic State fighters 15 months ago.

The Iraqi Kurdish flag has been raised on a number of buildings, but Peshmerga militants said it would take several days to bring the town fully under control.
