UK pushes for Syrian refugees' right to work in Jordan

The UK government has said it is hopeful there will be a new deal to help some Syrian refugees who have fled the conflict, to remain in the region.

The International Development Secretary Justine Greening has been holding talks with Syria's neighbour Jordan, which has taken in more than 600,000 refugees.

At present most are refused permission to work, leaving many in poverty.
