Aleppo's Syria Civil Defence manager on the White Helmets

Ammar Al Salmo is the manager of the Syria Civil Defence for Aleppo.

He co-ordinates White Helmets rescue teams in the city.

There are 120 rescue teams in Syria made up 3,000 volunteers.

In the five years since the civil war began the UN estimate that 250,000 Syrians have been killed and the White Helmets have saved the lives of 62,000 people.
