Thousands trapped in west Mosul as fighting continues

The UN estimates that 400,000 Iraqi civilians are trapped inside west Mosul as government forces try to capture it from Islamic State militants.

The fight is now concentrated in the narrow alleys of the Old City from where the BBC's Middle East Editor Jeremy Bowen reports.
