US commander on IS leader Baghdadi: 'I don't think he's dead'

The leader of the Islamic State (IS) group is probably still alive, a senior US general has said, and may be hiding in a remote border area between Iraq and Syria.

The comments by Gen Stephen Townsend, commander of the anti-IS coalition, contradict a claim by Russia that it probably killed Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in a raid in Syria in May.
