Kurdish intelligence chief: IS in Iraq 'like al-Qaeda on steroids'

A top Kurdish counter-terrorism official has told the BBC that the Islamic State (IS) group has reorganised in Northern Iraq, and is now like "al-Qaeda on steroids".

Lahur Talabany said that IS fighters were now moving freely in disputed terrain between security forces of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Iraqi army.

He was speaking to our International Correspondent Orla Guerin, in Sulaimaniya in Northern Iraq.
