Royal Academy celebrates thousands of years of bronze
London's Royal Academy has been celebrating thousands of years of fine bronze sculpture in an exhibition of work by some of the world's greatest artists.
Andrew Graham-Dixon went on a tour of the show with gallery owner Danny Katz to look at some of the more unusual pieces including John the Baptist 1506 -11 which according to the catalogue is by Giovanni Francesco Rustici - although Danny Katz suggests the hand of Leonardo Da Vinci could also have had some considerable influence on the work.
