Afghan President Karzai: We face vicious common enemy

Afghan President Hamid Karzai has opened a Kabul conference, calling for more control of the country's multi-billion dollar aid budget.

He described the conference as a milestone in deepening and broadening international partnership.

Mr Karzai said they all faced a "vicious common enemy" but called on delegates to concentrate on creating a stable Afghanistan.
