Pakistan floods hit crops and cattle
There are growing fears in Pakistan as livestock and crops are destroyed and basic supplies run short, following floods which have ravaged much of the country.
The UN - which launched a fresh $459m appeal on Wednesday to help 14 million people affected by the deluge - now says the cost to farmers will amount to billions of US dollars.
The US says it is tripling the number of helicopters in order to boost the aid operation. At least 1,200 people have died so far following the disaster, with 14 million people affected.
