Shots heard during Pakistan protest over electricity shortage
One of the main roads linking the north-west of Pakistan to the rest of the country has been reopened after it was blocked for hours by protesters.
But highway officials say the main motorway remains closed.
The protesters were demanding the government provide electricity to areas which they say have been without it for several days.
Lyse Doucet has been travelling on both roads. As she spoke to protesters, shots were heard and one protester claimed it was the police, although this has not been confirmed.
