Yasir Hameed statement on cricket scam allegations

The Pakistani cricketer, Yasir Hameed, has said he was naive to talk to a newspaper about betting scam allegations.

He has been interviewed at the Pakistani High Commission in London, after he was secretly filmed by the News of the World appearing to say he had turned down money to fix games.

Mr Hameed's spokesman, Tafazzul Rizvi, read out a statement.

The News of the World was not available for comment when contacted about Hameed's statement.
