Filipino man declared new world's shortest

A Filipino has been declared the world's shortest man by the Guinness Book of World Records.

Junrey Balawing measures 59.3cm, or under two feet.

He is more than 7cm shorter than the previous record holder, Khagendra Thapa Magar from Nepal.

Mr Balawing was born in the southern island of Mindanao and stopped growing when he was a toddler.
