Afghan gunfight: Kabul police battle insurgents

Afghan and international security forces have been battling a multi-pronged attack by insurgents targeting the US embassy, Nato headquarters and police buildings in Kabul.

The Taliban has said it was behind the attacks.

Speaking in Washington, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that those responsible for the attacks would be "dealt with" and praised the "brave, dedicated" civilian staff that serve the US embassy in Kabul.
